Trifari

Trifari is one of America's most loved costume jewelry houses. It was founded in 1910 in New York by Gustavo Trifari, who came from a family of goldsmiths in Naples, Italy.


In 1930, French designer Alfred Philippe joined Trifari as head designer. He had trained with Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, and he brought fine-jewelry craftsmanship to costume pieces. His famous "Jelly Belly" animal brooches, with their glowing Lucite bellies, are among the most collectible vintage jewels in the world.


Trifari pieces are signed with the iconic crown mark. Collectors call it "Crown Trifari," and the house motto says it all: "If it isn't signed, it isn't Trifari."
